
Mr. Ramesh Ramanathan
Promoter of Janalakshmi Social Services, a Section 25 Not-for-profit Company, which in turn, has promoted Janalakshmi financial Services, an urban Micro Finance Institution, an NBFC and Janaadhar Constructions. He has 10 years of experience in providing financial services to the economically marginalized.
Mr. Ramesh Ramanathan is also a co-founder of Janaagraha Centre for Citizenship and Democracy, a non-profit institution aimed at improving the quality of public governance by deepening democracy.
Prior to his civil society initiatives, he spent many years at Citibank, and was Managing Director & European Head of Corporate Derivatives, a $100 million business. He is also the National Technical Advisor, Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (NURM), Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India; Principal Advisor, Government of Rajasthan, State Urban Agenda for Rajasthan (SUARAJ).
He possesses an Honors degree in Physics from BITS Pilani, and an MBA from Yale University's School of Management.
Mr. Ramani Sastri
Graduate in Commerce from H R College, Bombay and a Diploma holder in Business Management from Bombay University. Mr. Sastri has been involved in the field of construction for over 30 years. He is also the Chairman & Managing Director of Sterling Developers (P) Ltd, a leading Real Estate Development Company in Bangalore, Karnataka. Mr. Sastri is financially involved and on the Board of the Canadian International School in Bangalore. He is the Immediate President of Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India (CREDAI), New Delhi and is the Past President of Karnataka Ownership Apartments Promoters Association (KOAPA), Bangalore.
Mr. Sastri has been associated with various committees set by the Govt. of India like Planning Commission (HUD Division) as a Committee Member. He is a speaker in Various Forum in India & abroad like.
Mr. V. Naresh Narasimhan
Managing Partner of Venkataramanan Associates (VA), a renowned 40-year-old Architectural/ Engineering firm based in Bangalore, with strong hands-on, full spectrum experience in the complex Indian business and projects environment. A graduate in Architecture from the Manipal Institute of Technology, with a post graduation in Project Appraisal and Risk Management from Harvard University, he has led the expansion of VA into diversified markets with particular strengths in Research & Development, Specialized Manufacturing, IT Business Parks, Public and Institutional buildings, Corporate Offices and Residential complexes. An open-door style of leadership, mentoring and training for the firm's staff of over 180 people, ISO level documentation standards and a state-of-the-art, award-winning design studio with strong 3D visualization capabilities, has enabled the design and programming of over 450 world class facilities for many Fortune 500 and leading Indian companies and institutions.
With a sound understanding of global trends in project planning, urban design, regional planning, infrastructure, sustainable development and green buildings, Naresh also has a keen interest in architectural theory, financial & economic modelling and cartography. A member of both the Indian Institute of Architects and the Council of Architecture, as well as a founder Member of the Bangalore Action Task Force (BATF), a public private initiative to address the problems of Bangalore's infrastructure, he freely and regularly advises several government departments on issues and matters pertaining to building and infrastructure development. He is a frequent speaker at seminars and conferences and has published more than 25 articles in several national publications on issues pertaining to architectural design, infrastructure development and urban planning. Other interests include films, quizzing, information technology & applications, human resources, corporate governance, creative management and quality education.
Mr. R. Srinivasan
CEO of Janalakshmi Financial Services Private Limited. A long-time civil servant, Mr. Srinivasan has had a lengthy and illustrious career in the fields of banking and taxation, with more than four decades of experience in both the public and corporate sectors. He has been a member of the Indian Revenue Service, and chaired the Economic Affairs Committee, Financial Services Committee and the Delhi State Committee, among others. He served as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, India of ANZ Grindlays Bank and later served as a senior advisor to both Fitch Rating and JP Morgan. Mr. Srinivasan has an M.A. in Economics from Delhi University.
